This zoom workshop is free but you must be a member of SfC to participate.
There will not be a recording as this is a free workshop. Please do not register if you cannot make it to the live event.
Materials you will need:
1 large, edged pen - prefer Pilot Parallel Pen (Blue or Green lid) OR
Luthis FLAT Pens (#4, #5 or #5a) - Luthis pens can be found at John Neal or Paper & Ink Arts OR
Automatic Pen (#3A or #4A) preferably the original wood-handled Automatic Pen - the new automatic pens are very stiff.
Pelikan 4001 Ink (any color), Bister Ink or Walnut Ink - please only one of these.
Layout Bond Pad (any brand, any size) i.e. Canson, Strathmore Sketch OR Drawing Paper Pad.
Piece of paper cut from bond pad to 5" x 10"
Scissors, Pencil & Ruler
X-acto Knife & Cutting Mat or something to cut on.

Carrie Imai served as the past president of the Society for Calligraphy for six years, and the Director of the Letters California Style Conference for seventeen years. She has been a prior calligrapher for the County of Los Angeles and teacher for calligraphy guilds across the US and Canada.
