08-15 Test Zoom Access and prepare book materials if not purchasing the kit. 08-22 Main workshop Learn the basics of bookmaking and how to bind books using long stitch. This is an elegant, exposed-spine bookbinding technique that lends itself to creativity. Bookbinding basics will be covered, including what tools you need to make your own books at home. You will make a hardcover book using book cloth and your choice of gorgeous papers from around the world for the cover and high quality blank paper for the pages. This book is ideal to use as a guest book, photo album, or recipe book.

This online event IS open to non-members. Invite a friend--just be sure they register! Zoom information will be provided before the event.
Materials Needed:
an old magazine, a ruler, a bookbinding awl, a sharpened pencil or two and a bone folder. List of additional book materials will be sent upon registration. Optional Kit fee: $8.00 if picked up/$17 if mailed. (PayPal option includes PayPal fees)
